In 2010 Rosselli Services carried out extensive benchmarking to identify how local authorities (Metropolitan, Unitary and London Boroughs) design and operate their trade waste services. Data was obtained for many variables including:
- prices charged to customers
- disposal charges paid at the waste tips
- numbers and types of bins used
- crew sizes
- ratio of spare vehicles to routine vehicles
- many other factors
